Tara sadhanas

Tara is the female Buddha of wisdom and compassion in action; her qualities are represented by her 21 manifestations. The practice of the 21 Taras allows one to meditate on each of her qualities and thus create a state of mind that reflects these qualities, leading to liberation from all suffering. The practice of Chittamani Tara allows one to gradually transform into the deity with all her qualities. The practice of Tara is particularly effective on the 8th day of the lunar calendar month.
