Venerable Acharya Zasep Tulku Rinpoche
General Spiritual Advisor and Teacher
Ven. Zasep Tulku Rinpoche is an internationally respected teacher of Gelugpa Buddhism. Born in Tibet in the province of Kham in 1948, he was recognized as the 13th incarnation of Lama Konchog Tenzin of Zuru Monastery in Tibet by the most venerated lamas among whom were the highly realized Tertön Jetrung Rinpoche, H.H. the 16th Karmapa and Venerable Kyabje Trijang Dorjechang.

Zasep Tulku Rinpoche is the spiritual director of a number of buddhist centers spanning the globe. These include Tsongkhapa Meditation Center in Ste Sophie, Gaden Choling Mahayana Buddhist Meditation Center in Toronto, Gaden Tashi Choling Retreat Center in Nelson, Zuru Ling Center in Vancouver as well as centers in Ottawa, Thunder Bay, Mexico city and Australia.​
Rinpoche travels extensively and regularly offers teachings, initiations and retreats.
Venerable Geshe Tsultrim Tenzin
General Spiritual Advisor and Teacher
Ven. Geshe Tsultrim Tenzin was born in Kham, Tibet and became a monk at the age of twelve at Gaden Jangtse monastery. Completing the study of all the divisions of Tibetan Buddhist Philosophy, he was awarded the highest degree of Geshe Lharampa. He also received an Acharya (Master) degree from the Varanasi Sanskrit University in India. Moreover, he received a qualification in Vajrayana Buddhism after studying for one year at the Gyumed Tantric College.
Geshe-la has overseen the evolution of Tsongkhapa Meditation Center, from its beginnings as the Tibetan Buddhist Temple established in Montreal in 1980, through its transition to Tsongkhapa Meditation Center in Ste Sophie in 2014. He continues to grace us with his precious advice, presence and blessings.
Geshe Tsultrim teaches in many Buddhist temples and monasteries in India, Tibet, Europe and North America. He has been responsible for the education of many monks, guiding them from youth to maturity. Geshe Tsultrim is a very dedicated and compassionate teacher.
Venerable Zawa Tulku Rinpoche
Resident Spiritual Director and Teacher
Ven. Zawa Tulku Lobsang Dorje Chokye Gyaltsen Rinpoche was appointed Resident Spiritual Director of Tsongkhapa Meditation Center more than 20 years ago. He is internationally renowned for his dedication to the transmission of the Buddha's teachings and is regularly invited around the world to further this goal. He is a master of sand mandala construction and ritual arts. He specializes in healing and purification rituals. He is known for his kindness and pure morality.
Zawa Tulku Rinpoche was born in India in 1978. Recognized as the reincarnation of Zawa Geshe Rinpoche, he was ordained at Ganden Shartse Monastery in 1982. There he studied Buddhist philosophy until 1998. He then embarked on an international tour, teaching at numerous Dharma centers.
Gen Lobsang Tashi
Assistant and Teacher
Gen Lobsang Tashi was born in India in 1978. He received his education at Gaden Shartse Monastic University, where he became a monk and the assistant of Ven. Zawa Tulku Rinpoche.
When Rinpoche was called to Canada, Gen Lobsang Tashi accompanied him to help fulfill the mission of establishing the Center in Montreal, and later in Ste Sophie. He also serves as a resident translator and teacher of the Buddhadharma and Tibetan language.
